September 8 – The Salmon Marathon

The race is a scenic point-to-point course that starts in Tendoy, Idaho. Tendoy, for you history buffs, is the birthplace of Sacajawea, the Agaidika Shoshone woman, who with her infant child accompanied Lewis and Clark on their historic journey to the Pacific and back. The course follows the Old Lemhi Road as it winds along the Lemhi River west onto Main Street and into Salmon. After crossing the Salmon River at the end of Main Street, runners will turn left into Island Park and the finish line. Register Online Course Information Packet Pick-up: Whitewater Therapeutic Riding facility – WTRRA arena, 4-8 p.m. Late pickup Saturday morning before boarding the buses at the Stagecoach Inn Race Start September 8, 2018: Marathon: shuttle: 5:30 ~ Start time: 6:45 Half marathon: shuttle: 7:15 ~ Start time: 8:00 Start Location: Full Marathon: Tendoy School Half Marathon: Baker Cut Off Road.

Salmon RiverFest 2018 We will be featuring kayak classes, river safety classes, speakers, film short, river races, music festival and river clean-up as we bring in a brand new boating season and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers designation.
